Created in partnership with the Maryland Museum of Natural Sciences, this exhibition pairs objects from the museum’s collection with works by contemporary artists whose practices explore, interpret, and investigate the natural world. By bringing art and science into dialogue, the exhibition offers new ways of understanding the environments, organisms, and forces that shape our world.
The Maryland Museum of Natural Sciences is a playground for all who are driven by curiosity, an inclusive hub for scientific research and discovery, and a proving ground for the next generation of naturalists. Housing the largest interdisciplinary natural history collections in Maryland, MMNS tells stories written in rocks, fossils, minerals, plants, animals, fungi and more.
